Project Overview
Recognizing the need for a public space that promotes health, wellbeing, and community interaction, Nalafehi Meedhoo launched the Addu Meedhoo Multi-Purpose Community Park project in 2021. Located near the popular Meedhoo Swimming Track area, the park is designed to offer diverse recreational facilities for all age groups.
Key Highlights
Phase 1 — Completed
- Relocated plants and levelled the ground for development.
- Constructed two pavilions and two changing rooms.
- Carried out landscaping works and planted new trees.
- Developed a jogging track.
Phase 2 — Ongoing
- Installation of children's play equipment.
- Construction of a volleyball court.
- Installation of outdoor showers next to the changing rooms.
- Installation of outdoor gym equipment.

Results
Phase 1 has been completed — key infrastructure like pavilions, changing rooms, and landscaping were finished, making the park partially accessible to the public. Ongoing efforts in Phase 2 aim to make the park a vibrant recreational hub in Addu Meedhoo.
